Confinement A1
This is an A1 mixed media piece I have used acrylic, oil pastel as well as collage to emphasize the entrapment and small spaces Harry is in. I have used images of myself and my peers within the collage which are the walls around him.

Development and experimentation of confinement work
This is an example of a developmental sketchbook page which allowed me to decided what medias to use for the final piece above. The medias I have experimented with include pencil, biro, acrylic, oil pastel, collage, felting and glass.

 Henna Latex Hand
This is a latex hand which I have drawn henna patterns into with biro, this is part of my current project of 'makeup'. I firstly made a mould of my hand in clay and I then poured thin layers of liquid latex into the mould.

 Tatto and Latex entwined

This is my most recent three dimensional piece made out of liquid latex which I have developed from the Henna Latex Hand, it is currently not complete however I am combining both henna and tattoos onto the latex in biro and watercolour. Each area of this piece resembles is significant, for example the vertical henna lines show how todays society are pressured to be 'size 0' and how vertical stripes are typically used to make the body appear thinner.

 Batik Monkey
This is my mixed media 'monkey' piece which is 4ft by 4ft and was the final outcome for my animals project. It was made using batik which was an important influence on this project and when the ink was poured over the wax it left the white underneath,  I then used marker pens to add details such as the wrinkles.

 Erika
This is a text and image piece named 'Erika' in my 'People and Places' project where I have used a newspaper article about blindness, I then picked out certain words which states 'Blindness, although I can see nothing, In someways I am stronger than someone that can see everything.' these images are linked together with a drawing of an eye in biro.

 Jenny Saville transcription
This is an A4 Jenny Saville transcription from my sketchbook which I made using acrylic paint, when painting this image of Saville's it allowed me to understand her use of colour as well as her style of painting. I found the original image on the following link. http://seedanieldraw.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/jenny-saville.html

Jenny Saville felting
This is a felt piece which was inspired by the nose section of my Jenny Saville transcription, I used wool which had the same colourings and thick strands to link to the style of Saville.

 Map Dress
This is a three dimensional piece which is a paper dress made out of maps, this is influenced by the recycling section of my people and places topic. This is to show how people influence our environment and recycling is part of a large global campaign to salvage the environment we live in, this is why I decided to use a map because it represents that only we are responsible for the world that we live in.

Book Work
This is the research of Jennifer Collier which was the starting point for my map dress this image of my book shows a montage of her work, an analysis as well as a small three dimensional dress maquette which I made out of a map of my home town Redditch.

Tiger
This is an A1 mixed media ink and oil pastle piece which I made during my 'Animals' project this allowed me to experiment with a mixture of colours as well as techniques, I like how the ink gives vibrant orange and reds which drips into one another this contrasts with the bold black oil pastel markings on the tiger's face.

An A1 piece which I have made in my current project based on makeup which is investigating how people change themselves one current trend to changing someone's appearance is tattooing which has been a key influence on my project as each tattoo means something personal to the individual.

This is a small 10x15cm photograph of my brothers tattooed sleeve, I decided to
make it into a relief piece by putting pins along the tribal pattern and draw with the thread around the pins. These are two images showing the different effects you receive from other angles.

This is an A3 painting from my 'Animals' project where I used a mixture of acrylic and water colours. I used the watercolours to wash out the background of different greys then painted the details of the zebra onto it.

This is my first experimentation using batik in my 'Animals' project, I used the stripe patterns from an image of a zebra to paint on the wax where the white areas of the zebra would be, then when painting the brusho on over the top loosely this left the wax areas white as it resisted the brusho dye.
This is an example of a developmental sketchbook page which allowed me to record the brusho and batik process. This lead to many batik pieces including my final monkey development and allowed me to apply different medias to the brusho for instance when I applied bleach it
diluted and separated the brusho colours.

This is an A4 Donna Crawshaw transcription and analysis from my sketchbook which I made using acrylic paint, when painting this image of Crawshaws it allowed me to understand her use of colour as well as her style of painting. I found the original image on the following link.

This is a small development piece from my makeup project, it is an emulsion transfer of three images of myself applying makeup. I then stitched into this, with one piece leading to another shows the process of applying makeup.
